3.1 Speaker System with Surround Sound Receiver
A 3.1 home theater system bundle INCLUDES one pair of large floor standing tower speakers or small bookshelf speakers for front left and right channels which should be located at both sides of your television, ultra short throw projector, or projection screen; a center channel speaker which should be placed underneath the television or projector screen; a powered subwoofer to provide low frequency deep bass which usually sounds best located somewhere near a corner; and a compatible multi-channel surround sound receiver.
IT DOES NOT INCLUDE two rear surround effects speakers which would be located to each side of, or slightly behind, your seating area.
Unless stated otherwise, you should assume that you’ll need to separately supply or buy adequate speaker wire to run from the backside of the home theater receiver to both front speakers and the center channel speaker, and perhaps also some compatible banana plugs to terminate the wires at each end, as well as a subwoofer cable to run from the LFE subwoofer output on the receiver to location of the sub.
