2.1 Speaker System with Surround Sound Receiver
A 2.1 home theater system bundle INCLUDES one pair of large floor standing tower speakers or small bookshelf speakers for front left and right channels which should be located at each side of your TV, ultra short throw projector, or projection screen; a powered subwoofer to provide low frequency deep bass which usually sounds best located somewhere near a corner; and a compatible multi-channel surround sound receiver.
IT DOES NOT INCLUDE a center channel speaker to be placed underneath the television or projection screen or two rear surround effects speakers which would be located to each side of, or slightly behind, your seating area.
Unless stated otherwise, you should assume that you’ll need to separately supply or buy adequate speaker wire to run from the backside of the home theater receiver to each main speaker, perhaps also some compatible banana plugs to terminate the wiring at each end, and a subwoofer cable to run from the back of the receiver to the location of your sub.
